The end of the IC-7800, the start of the IC-7610

After almost 20 years of flawless use my Icom IC-7800 failed and I decided not to invest in an expensive repair effort, but to replace the IC-7800 with an IC-7610. The screen on the IC-7800 had become very dim, but I used an external display, so that was not too bad. However, I had already learned that replacement parts for the IC-7800 were no longer available. Then the CI-V connection failed. I could have asked for an expensive repair, but there was no way of knowing how long it would take for the next issue to pop up.
